Who: Jim Nelson – ASSP Region V – Regional Vice President
What: Please join the ASSP Hawkeye Chapter for a special presentation by James “Jim” Nelson, CSP, Regional Vice President for ASSP Region V. Jim is a Safety and Environmental Manager with more than 25 years of health, safety, and environmental experience and has been an active ASSP leader and volunteer for over two decades. He currently serves as Region V Vice President and is dedicated to supporting chapters, strengthening member engagement, and advancing the Society’s strategic initiatives.
During this session, Jim will discuss the value of ASSP membership and how members can maximize the benefits available through the Society. Additional topics may include updates from ASSP leadership, current Society initiatives, professional development opportunities, chapter engagement, and highlights from the Professional Development Conference (PDC). Attendees will gain insight into the direction of ASSP, opportunities to become more involved, and resources available to help safety professionals grow their careers and expand their professional networks.
Whether you are a long-time ASSP member or are interested in learning more about the Society, this will be an excellent opportunity to hear regional perspectives, ask questions, and connect with fellow safety professionals. We encourage all members, non-members, students, and safety professionals to attend.
