Topic: AI Today and Its Effects

Who: Paul Gormley – Iowa State University Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) and Alex Blum – Central Iowa Health Certifications

What: Join the Hawkeye ASSP Chapter for a timely session focused on two topics impacting safety professionals today.

We’ll kick things off with Alex Blum of Central Iowa Health Certifications, who will provide a brief update on changes affecting First Aid/CPR classes and what safety professionals should be aware of.

Then, Paul Gormley with Iowa State University CIRAS (Center for Industrial Research and Service) will lead a practical discussion on AI today and its effects.  Artificial intelligence is changing the way we work, solve problems, and make decisions.  This will be a great discussion on all of the impacts this has on all aspects of our lives.

Whether you’re already experimenting with AI or still figuring out where it fits, this should be a great opportunity to learn, connect, and stay current.
